The objective of the project Board-level Participation is to discuss and develop the participation of employees in the management of the workplace through the possibility of selecting the representatives to the board and the supervisory board by the crew in the period of 20 months in 5 EU countries: Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Malta, Spain and in one candidate country Serbia. The initiative is trade unions response for the universal problem of social partners in EU which is lack of employee representation on the high level in undertakings. In order to achieve best possible results, both side- employers' and workers' representatives are participating in the project.
- To compare board-level participation systems operating in different partner countries;
- To develop employees' participation in decision- making process of undertakings;
- To prepare proposals for legislative changes in each project partner country or recommendations regarding implementation on board-level participation;
- To improve skills and competencies of workers' representatives for better participation in social dialogue;
- To strengthen transnational cooperation among workers' and employers' in the field of board-level employee representation.
The action will last 20 months and will have 4 phases:
- preparatory,
- implementation,
- dissemination,
- follow-up activities.
